So, if you have read Kiss of Fire, which I am hoping you have, you know that quite a bit of the story revolves around a ruby necklace. And by ruby I really mean giant red stone given to Joclyn by her super rich best friend. When preparing for my release date I went through a lot of options and ideas for the cover. I won’t lie, I am beyond poor so the 1,200 quotes I was getting from cover designers weren’t going to happen. Maybe for the second book, we will have to see.
Anywho, one of the first things I knew I needed was Joclyn’s necklace. I ran over to etsy, because that’s how I do things in cyber space – I run, and searched for handmade jewelry. Well, it’s etsy and I think I got a return hit of 15 million or something. After scrolling through pages I had decided on about 5 different shops and that I needed an exercise ball rather then a computer chair.
I emailed them all and in a turn of rather serendipitous events, one of the stores, Natures Lace, the one I loved most, had opened just that day and emailed me back in eager anticipation. I think I did a happy dance in the middle of the floor.
Well, they got right to work and sent me this little beauty:
Isn’t it lovely?
I’ll admit when writing my description of the necklace I had no idea what I was seeing. Years of script writing had made me ignore the finer details, after all the director decides those things. So I was so happy when Amanda and Carol of Natures Lace really saw through my description and gave me something amazing.
*Swoon*
If you would like your own version of Joclyns Necklace head on over to Natures Lace store, and they will make it for you, and you will love it. I know I love mine. And make sure to visit them on facebook too!!
